Oh yeah, I have a Blog.

I haven't been here in a while! Upon request from Hoegbo, I will post some screenies of the project that I have been working on. A mod that was originally named Xanorin and was supposed to only be 4 hours or so in length, has turned into a campaign. Right now it's looking like about 7 to 9 hours of game, give or take.
At this point in time it is titled: City of Swords. It's based around the city of Melvaunt, a city of blacksmiths on the shores of the Moonsea. Whats really funny about that is that I have almost every merchant in the city right now, except a blacksmith. I need to get that on my to do list.

I will employ the Soz party party system. But I would also like to have at least one standard companion that can be dismissed or kept if the player wants. I'm thinking possible romance side story thingy? I haven't had a girl friend in awhile so the romance thing has been on my mind quite a bit lately.

I'm going to use the soz party chat in certain instances. Some of the quests just make more sense if a certain class is doing the talking. Like a Rogue , Caster or Melee.
I do have a lot done at this point but I'm a long way from being finished. I can tell you right now, it's not going to be as great as Misery Stone. Ha ha! I played that mod for twenty minutes and I had the toolset open, scratching my head, saying: "How the #$*% did they do that?" I hope they put the Werewolf Hak on the Vault! But I do believe City of Swords will be fun to play, at least for some people. That's all that really counts. Also, I'm a toolset addict, so this is going to happen whether anybody else likes it or not. * Yes, I'm grinning right now. *

I haven't posted here in a long time. I have gotten a lot done with my current project though. I have about 4 working quests completed. They need a lot of polish of course.

I just installed Evil Edison's Hill Giant hak. It looks great! I can't wait to work it in.

Back to the Toolset

I took a little break from modding. Tonight I started work on a new area called Monoloth, The City of the Dead.

The Way of the Rogue

I'm working on a Class specific quest line for the Rogue. I think it's going to be pretty neat. I think I'll do one for each major class. The Fighter and Magic User. Heck, Multiclassers could pick up all three quest lines at once :)

The story continues

I have begun work on the sequel to Arithel. This adventure will begin in the city of Melvaunt, where the 'Hero' is tasked with gathering a party of adventurers for the task at hand. Finding and killing Xanorin, the villain wizard, who like all other villain wizards, is hell bent on destruction and power.

I have the city area started and some of the populace created. There's going to have to be a lot of NPCs for it to look right. I noticed in MOW, there are a lot of humunoid races. Lizard folk, Bugbears and such. I'm not sure how many non goodly races I'll throw in, maybe a few.

I'm also going to use the sewer haks from MOW. They are so cool. You can't have a city adventure without sewers right?
